In the bitter cold of winter, crawling into a chilly bed and warming it up with your body is a lengthy process. An electric blanket is an essential product for quick warmth. If you or your family use blankets electric blanket for bed warmth, it's crucial to pay close attention to the following guidelines on how to use it correctly to prevent accidents.

How to use a heated blanket

Before using blanket electric blanket, carefully read the "Product Manual" and follow the instructions.

Pay special attention to the following points:
After unpacking the product, inspect it for any damage. Then verify the power supply voltage (220 volts) before use. For products with a transformer, ensure the transformer is properly connected. Imported products often operate at 100V or 120V and must not be plugged directly into standard outlets to prevent damage and accidents. Always use a compatible transformer for operation.

How to put an electric blanket on a bed

Unfold the blanket electric blanket and lay it flat on the bed, avoiding creases (if necessary, sew straps to the corners and secure them to the bed). The side bearing the "trademark" should face upward. Take special care to position the blanket electric blanket toward the foot of the bed when laying it flat. Do not place it under the pillow. Cover the blanket with a sheet or a thin quilt to avoid direct skin contact, preventing burns while also protecting the product from wear and tear.

To check if the heating function is working properly, set the temperature control switch to the "high heat" setting and plug the product into a 220-volt outlet. This step is often overlooked or even unknown to most users. Setting it to high heat before plugging in prevents arcing and electrical shock from switching while energized, and allows for a more direct assessment of whether the blanket electric blanket is heating properly. Under normal conditions, the indicator light should be fully illuminated at this point. Typically, you should feel warmth within ten minutes of powering on.

After inspection, preheat the blankets electric blanket approximately half an hour before bedtime. Set the switch to the "high heat" setting, plug it in, cover it with a quilt, and begin preheating. When you go to sleep, the quilt should be warm. At that point, unplug the blanket or switch it to the "off" setting to prevent accidents.

Can you sleep with a heated blanket?

If you need to use it all night, set the blanket electric blanket switch to the "high heat" setting half an hour before bedtime to warm it up. When you go to sleep, switch it to the "low heat" setting. This will ensure warmth throughout the night, maintaining a temperature of around 20°C on the bed.

During particularly cold seasons, you may also leave the switch on the "high heat" setting when going to sleep.
Upon waking the next morning, immediately switch the control to the "Off" setting or unplug the power cord to stop electricity flow to the blankets electric blanket.

Nine Important Tips for Using Electric Blankets Warmer

To extend the lifespan of your electric cold blanket and prevent accidents, please observe the following precautions during use:

When leaving home, unplug the power cord.

Infants, young children, and individuals with impaired consciousness must be supervised during use.

Do not fold the electric snuggle blanket tightly around the body to prevent overheating accidents and damage to the blanket.

Do not wash in a washing machine to avoid mechanical damage.

Do not iron with an electric iron to prevent damage to the heating wire insulation.

Beware of sharp objects like nails or steel pins puncturing the product.

Do not use simultaneously with other heating appliances such as electric foot warmers, braziers, space heaters, or other heating devices.

Do not fold while powered on, as this may burn out the product or accelerate insulation degradation, potentially causing an electric blanket fire.

It is strictly prohibited to smoke while lying on an blanket electric blanket during operation. A lit cigarette butt can damage the product and, in severe cases, cause a fire.

Electric blankets must be suspended from use:

Bedwetting has soaked the electric blanket (must be rinsed locally with clean water and air-dried before reuse).

The temperature control switch is cracked or damaged.

The power cord is damaged.

The blanket body is torn, exposing the heating wires.

The switch is set to "High" but the product does not heat up.

The switch is set to "Low" but the product is very hot (same temperature as "High").

After 3–5 years of use, if any abnormalities are detected.

Additionally, note the following:

Do not bake or expose the electric blanket to direct sunlight.

Do not disassemble the temperature control switch yourself.

Do not attempt repairs yourself.

Strictly prohibited: reconnecting broken heating wires and using the blanket after doing so.
